Ayurveda, traditional Indian medicine
Ayurvedic medicine is ancient but we still use it today. You will surely wonder what Ayurveda means 'Ayur' means longevity and 'Veda' refers to science. If you want to know everything, Ayurvedic medicine is a discipline that has been recognized by the World Health Organization.é.
Pitta, Kapha and Vata are three doshas or biological humors that make up each person in different proportions. The doshas are made up of a mixture of five elements: space, earth, air, fire and water. If these doshas are balanced, this can reassure you! You are in good health ! However, one of your doshas may be out of balance. It is therefore important to rethink your personal routine such as: the regularity of meals or even more regular physical activities which are key factors in balancing your doshas.
Ayurvedic medicine considers that a person's happiness or unhappiness is the result of a person's state of health. Thus, a perfectly healthy person is called: Purusha Purusha Pure Spirit.
In addition, Ayurveda wants the rhythm of the body or the seasons to agree. It is therefore necessary to go in the direction of nature in order to create a balance between you and the environment.
This practice will teach you one of the key notions of our life: How to live well for a long time.
Let's start at the beginning: What is the Ayurvedic routine?
The morning
In the morning, it is important to wake up early, that is, before sunrise. Then, wash your face several times with cool water.
Then you can drink a cup of hot or lukewarm water. This will cleanse your digestive tract. You can come afterwards to brush your teeth with Ayurvedic herbs and clean your tongue with a teaspoon. You will wonder why. Because it is important to remove bacteria that may be on your tongue.
You can also apply a few drops of sesame oil in your nostrils to improve your clarity of mind. You can also massage your body very well with the oil which will allow better blood circulation and will calm your mind.
If you are determined, why not go for a physical exercise like a walk or a jog.
Your activity can also be to introduce you to meditation if you have not already done so. Meditation will bring peace and balance to your life. You have the possibility thanks to this practice to release the nodes of the conscience or your emotional blocks. After this meditation session you will feel ready to start a day full of energy!
Noon
During the lunch break, take the time to eat a balanced meal. Once the meal is over, you can take a cup of hot water like in the morning, which will also improve your digestion.
If it's possible for you, once you've finished your day, you can walk for a few minutes and take deep breaths.
The evening
When the evening time comes, you can take a hot shower. The hot water will come to purify you and remove the negative energies from your day. This will allow you to separate your professional and personal part and focus only on yourself.
To sleep better, you can take a cup of hot milk with cardamom, ginger and turmeric. You can also massage your feet and head with a little sesame oil.
