August 28, end of summer vacation. You spent a few days here and there, on your balcony, on the terrace or by the sea, sipping mojitos, spritzes and sex on the beach.
Your tan is golden as you wish, your skin is tanned and honey highlights have tinted your hair. You shine.
But here it is, the start of the school year is fast approaching, taking with it summer dresses and light blouses.
But then, how do you keep that tan so hard earned once those pretty legs are hidden behind your favorite jeans??
But first of all, how does tanning work??
The skin
From the first exposures, the sun attacks the skin. In order to protect itself, it uses two cells present in the epidermis of the skin:
-melanocytes
-keratinocytes
The melanocyte is responsible for melanin. Against UV radiation, melanin acts as pigmentary protection. To do this, it will first absorb the sun's rays and then color your skin with brown pigments, the characteristic color of a tan.
At the same time, the keratinocyte will thicken our skin, making it more resistant and impermeable to the harsh rays of the sun.
UV
The sun's rays are made up of several forms of UV: UV A and UV B.
UV A is the most harmless. Indeed, these gently stimulate the epidermis. A light pigmentation will appear in a few minutes and disappear a few hours later. This is more commonly known as the evening tan »
UV B, meanwhile, penetrate the skin to the melanocytes and are responsible for tanning. The result usually appears within two days after exposure and can last up to three weeks. This type of UV is the most harmful and dangerous for the skin, hence the importance of applying sunscreen with a high protection factor, organic, mineral and respectful of our oceans.
But then, how to make this tan last?
Without exposure, it's quick for the skin to lose its lovely caramel color that you love so much. Indeed, without UV, the epidermis will no longer feel attacked, will stop its production of melanocytes and keratinocytes and will regain its initial color.
That's why, if you want to prolong your tan as long as possible, you only have one choice: HYDRATE.
First, start from within by drinking at least 1.5L of water a day. Water, tea, flavored infusion The main thing is to consume it..
Next, eat antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables. These will allow you to hydrate and slow down the aging of the skin while replenishing your vitamins so that your skin can regenerate and be healthy. We will then favor fruits and vegetables of red / orange color, gorged with Beta-carotene and lycopene which will protect your skin from the inside.
Our Q.Re for the skin will also be your ally to make your tan last. With moisturizing and antioxidant active ingredients, this Q.Re will revitalize your skin and deeply hydrate it.
Finally, in order to reinforce this action from the inside, accompany it with hydration this time outside. That's the magic of In & Out!
Creams, vegetable oils, shea butter, favor natural products from organic farming and good for your health. What we apply to the skin is as important as what we ingest on a daily basis. The applied material penetrates the epidermis and is thus ingested by our body. Consciously choosing your moisturizer is therefore not a waste of time.s.
