Why does hair become weakened?
Hair is exposed to daily stressors that can weaken the hair fibre: heat, colouring, bleaching, straightening or repeated styling.
Over time, hair can become drier, rougher and less resistant.
The hair fibre is largely made up of keratin, a protein essential to its structure. When the fibre is overexposed to these stressors, its surface becomes more uneven, its resistance decreases, and the hair becomes more vulnerable to everyday damage.
